About this course
Good journalism rests on a code, and good careers rest on the same code. This classroom covers the standards every ethical journalist lives by: accuracy, fairness, accountability, and the honest handling of sources and conflicts of interest. Then it turns practical: the career paths open to a new journalist, from local news to broadcast to digital, how to build a portfolio that proves you can do the work, and how to land your first job in a competitive field. Whether you want to write, report, edit, or manage, this course starts you on the right foot.
