About this course
The Oxford English Dictionary is the most complete record of the English language ever attempted. This course explains how the OED was built, how its editors used millions of quotation slips, how the dictionary grew through supplements and editions, and how it works as a digital tool today. Real photos of OED pages and volumes, plus videos from Oxford itself, bring the project to life.
