About this course

This intermediate course follows the journey of a film score from first spotting session to final recorded soundtrack, and introduces the composers who define the craft. You will learn how composers work with directors, develop themes, sketch on piano, and conduct orchestras of eighty players. Along the way you will study the leitmotifs of John Williams, the soundscapes of Hans Zimmer, and the melodies of Ennio Morricone.
