About this course

This intermediate course shows you how to write dialogue that sounds real and reveals character, from subtext and rhythm to the problem of on-the-nose writing. You will then build characters the audience cares about: protagonists with wants, antagonists with reasons, and arcs that change across the story. Examples come from films such as The Godfather, Juno, and A Quiet Place.
